It has been a long 4 1/2 years since my last blog. A lot has happened in that time. I lost my Mother in 2014 and I had cancer which is completely gone thanks to surgery by a very talented and wonderful Doctor and her team. 

But now it is time to get back to life and blogging. I have a lot of plans for the future and while they are not all set in concrete, I am hoping to get things rolling again this year and early into next year.

Since my last blog, there have been other things happen as well. I lost some good friends from renal failure as well as other causes. It has been a long road to get where I am and hope the road gets easier as I move forward.

I have been thinking long and hard of doing a vlog, a video version of the blog, which will not replace the blog but be in addition to the blog here. Of course the purpose of the vlog will be to educate people about kidneys and what happens when the kidneys fail. I have created a channel on YouTube but need followers to make it work. Once the videos are posted, I will post here with a link so that everyone can subscribe and receive those videos as they are posted on YouTube.

I have been following several people on YouTube and enjoy watching them and their lives. Mostly they are related to RV life or trucking life, both of which are interesting to me. And so I thought I needed to make a channel for those affected by kidney disease.

YouTube has a place for comments though they are turned off I will see them and will add them if they are appropriate. Unfortunately, there are people who post off topic or very inappropriate comments and for that reason I will preview all comments before they go public so to eliminate that problem.

I hope to see all of you there. Once the videos are posted, I will update that here and link you to the channel so that you can subscribe. YouTube is free to join and subscribe to most channels.

I have also finished a new book. At the time of this blog writing, it is being reviewed by a nephrologist (friend) and once that is complete, it will be released and I will then update everyone here to that as well.

As I said, there has been a lot going on.
